Garden Seeds for Flooded Gardens

The following announcement is being forwarded at the request of the Farm Bureau Communications Resources Director, Barbar Lykins. The America the Beautiful Fund out of Washington, D.C., has 6 pallets of 5-50 pound bags of sweet corn and green bean seed for distribution to farmers and gardeners in Iowa who were affected by the flooding and whose gardens/fields were too wet to plant earlier this year. The seed was donated to them by the Harris Seed Company. I am not sure what varieties are available. If you know of anyone or any group who could use this seed, please contact Katie Rehwaldt as soon as possible: Katie Rehwaldt America the Beautiful Fund katie@america-the-beautiful.org
