Emerald Ash Borer Confirmed in Adair and Adams Counties, Iowa
Emerald ash borer, an invasive beetle that attacks and kills ash trees, has been confirmed in Adair and Adams counties in Iowa. Discoveries in Lake Orient Recreation Area in Adair County and a rural area north of Cromwell in Adams County bring to thirty-eight the number of counties within the state where EAB has been confirmed. Brown Marmorated Stink Bug Update: More New Locations in Iowa
The brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB) is a new invasive insect that was first found in the U.S. in 1998 and in Iowa in 2011. Additional reports by homeowners have documented BMSB in 19 counties in Iowa.
