Reports of anthracnose on ash have been received from a number of counties across the state. The presence of this common springtime disease is usually noted when complaints are received that leaves are falling from ash trees.
Fruit trees loaded with fruit should be hand thinned toobtain large, high quality fruit at harvest; allow development of flower buds for next year's crop, thus overcoming the tendency for some fruit trees to bear fruit in alternate years; and prevent limb breakage.
