Protect Trees and Shrubs from Rabbit Damage in Winter

When snow covers the ground food becomes scarce and hungry rabbits will chew the bark from landscape trees and shrubs, often with fatal results.  Now is the time to protect tree and shrub stems to keep rabbits away and to prevent feeding.  See the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Yard & Garden news release from November 12, 2014, for tips on protecting your landscape plants from rabbit injury.
