Shrubs and Trees with Winter Color

 An excellent way to brighten the winter landscape is to plant trees and shrubs that possess ornamental characteristics, such as colorful fruit or exfoliating bark.  See the Iowa State University Extension & Outreach news release for December 12, 2013 for more information on shrubs and trees such as crabapples, river birch and redtwig dogwoods that add color to the winter landscape.
